President Sisi meets with Dawoodi Bohra community leader

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met on Tuesday the spiritual leader of Dawoodi Bohra community Sultan Muffadal Saifuddin in Cairo، the Egyptian presidency announced.
During their meeting، the president praised the efforts of the Dawoodi Bohra community in Egypt to restore ancient mosques.
The head of the famous Shiite sect also praised the stability and religious freedom achieved in Egypt during President Sisi’s reign.
The Dawoodi Bohra community has already restored the famous Faitmid ancient Al-Hakim Mosque، Juyushi Mosque، Aqmar Mosque and Al-Lolola Mosque in Cairo. Sultan Muffadal Saifuddin also discussed in his meeting the contribution of the Dawoodi Bohra community in India in developing informal settlements. The Indian leader also expressed his interest for investments in Egypt.
According to the a statement released by the Egyptian Presidency، El-Sisi met with Saifuddin، his brother and his sons princes Hassan and Jafaar Al-Sadar as well Mofdal Hassan، the representative of the Dawoodi Bohra sultan in Egypt.
Dawoodi Bohras are a sect within the Ismaili Shia branch of Islam.
Located mainly in India and Pakistan، Egypt has been home to a Dawoodi Bohara community since the 1970s.
