Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry returned Wednesday home from Jordan، where he handed over a message from President Abdel Fattah el Sisi to Jordanian King Abdullah II.
During the visit، Shoukry emphasized the importance of developing Egyptian-Jordanian ties to the benefit of both countries.
He also expressed his Cairo's appreciation of Jordan's supportive stances towards Egypt، especially with regard to addressing challenges and terrorism.
The Egyptian top diplomat also met with Jordan’s Prime Minister Hani Al-Mulki as he discussed the bilateral ties، the latest developments in the Middle East region and preparations for the Arab summit، slated for March in Amman.
The visit also included a get together between Shoukry and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi on a host of regional issues، topped by the Palestinian cause، along with latest developments in Syria، Libya، and Yemen.
