Minister of Defense Sedky Sobhy، accompanied by army commanders visited Friday the wounded army officers and soldiers in terrorist attacks، while serving in Sinai، who are currently being treated at army hospitals.
The minister praised the role and sacrifices of the armed forces، stressing that they set an example in devotion and loyalty to the country، adding that the continued terrorist attacks will not prevent the armed forces from carrying out their duties toward the country، in order to preserve the stability of the country and protect the homeland security.
On the other hand، the wounded army officers and soldiers stressed that they were proud to serve their country and determined to return back to duty as soon as they complete their recovery، adding that they strive to protect the country’s national security and safeguard the lives of the Egyptian people.
Since the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi in the aftermath of June 30، 2013 revolution، which saw mass protests across the nation demanding his removal، the Egyptian army and police have been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups affiliated to Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist group.
