A young woman whose leg was amputated after being eaten by ants has become a dancing sensation، Dailymail reported.

Subhreet Kaur Ghumman thought she would never be able to dance again after losing her leg following a moped accident.

Subhreet said: 'It was the first day of my first year of studies، while returning home، my scooter skidded and I lost control. '

Nursing student Subhreet suffered a broken leg which then got infected – she watched ants chewing on her skin and saw her toes fall off one by one.

She made the brave decision to have her leg amputated rather than live the rest of her life confined to a bed.

Doctors thought she could die but managed to successfully amputate the leg.

And Subhreet – nicknamed Shubh – was even able to continue dancing in her home city of Chandigarh، capital of the Indian states of Haryana and Punjab.

She became a global sensation after appearing in the Indian version of Britain's Got Talent، where she danced one-legged to a Bollywood song.
Subhreet was filmed dancing to the song 'Chikni Chameli' from the 2012 Bollywood thriller Agneepath.

Her incredible story of survival has become an inspiration to many after she appeared in the TV talent competition.

She made it through to the final but is modest about her success، saying 'I enjoyed dancing to Bollywood numbers'.

Although Subhreet did not win India's Got Talent، it proved a springboard for a successful dancing career which has seen her travel around the world.

Subhreet، who married the gym instructor who helped her launch her dance career، is currently shooting a Punjabi movie based on her life.
