Egyptian Minister of Investment and International Cooperation، Sahar Nasr held a meeting Tuesday with a delegation from the World Bank to discuss horizons of improving investment in Egypt.
The ministry said in a statement that the WB mission sought to advance Egypt's ranking in the Doing Business Report.
The WB mission has been chaired by Vice-President Jan Walliser.
On 8 March، Dr. Sahar Nasrmet Dr. Murad Wahba، Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations، the President of the United Nations Development Group for the Arab States، during his visit to Egypt، where they discussed aspects of joint cooperation.
The two sides discussed، ongoing projects between Egypt and the UNDP، and arrangements for the consultation meetings held in order to prepare the next working document for UNDP، which will be implemented over the next five years from 2018 to 2022.
During the meeting، Sahar stressed that the priority would be for the needy Egyptians in Sinai and Upper Egypt.
Nasr concluded Tuesday an official visit to Dubai by visiting the Jebel Ali port on the sidelines of her participation in the 13th Investment Forum for Hermes Financial Group.
Nasr said during the visit that her country had put a comprehensive plan for economic reform، pledging to set a mechanism to solve the investors’ problems within 24 hours.
The minister added that she will intervene to provide urgent and effective solutions if the specific committees fail to settle disputes.
She further said that she is going to hold monthly meetings with the investors to solve their problems and communicate with the concerned authorities to terminate complications in some sectors.
Nasr went to say that the Investment Authority inked Sunday agreements with four parties to exchange information.
She touted those protocols as a decisive step to support investment and get rid of the red tape.
