Arab League chief Ahmed Abul Gheit said:”our goal is to take part in the process of the democratic transition in Libya with our Libyan brothers”.
“We agreed on the importance of supporting the Libyan presidential council and reaching a political solution to the crisis" Abul Gheit added during the joint Quartet meeting on Libya held at the Arab League General Secretariat headquarters in Cairo.
He also called for agreeing on resuming the exportation of Libyan oil by one side.
Noteworthy، this meeting included the Arab League and the African Union، the European Union and the United Nations.
The meeting was held with the participation of Arab League chief Ahmed Abul Gheit، Former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete، High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini، and a number of senior officials.
This meeting aims to intensify the current efforts to solve the Libyan crisis.
