Egyptian referee Gehad Grisha has been appointed to referee at the 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Kora، which will be held from May 20 to June 11، according to King Fut.
Despite his error of not awarding Zamalek an obvious penalty against El-Maqassa a couple of weeks back، Grisha has been selected to officiate at the U-20 World Cup in South Korea.
The 41-year-old became a FIFA referee in 2008. He has served as a referee at the 2015 U-20 World Cup in New Zealand as well as during the 2013، 2015، and 2017 AFCON. He also officiated during the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
“I hope to be up to your expectations and honor the Egyptian football in this worldwide tournament،” Grisha told Youm7 newspaper.
The Egyptian national team failed to qualify for the tournament as they finished third in their group at the U-20 AFCON، which was held in Zambia this March.
