Zamalek are reportedly interested in signing Colchester United right-back Richard Brindley، according to Bleacherreport.com.
With Brindley seeing out his contract with the League Two side this summer، the 23-year-old defender – who has Egyptian parentage – could join Zamalek on a free transfer in the close season.
Brindley، who had different spells with several English lower-tier clubs including Norwich City where he began his career، registered six assists in 36 games in all competitions this season.
The Cairo giants have already Osama Ibrahim and Hosni Fathi in the right-back slot، with natural midfielder Ahmed Tawfik often deployed in the position.
It remains to be seen what positions recently-appointed manager Augusto Inacio will be keen to beef up in the upcoming transfer window، after taking charge of only two league games since arriving early in April.
Egypt Cup holders Zamalek are currently third of the league table with 43 points، 11 behind second-placed Maqassa and 21 adrift of leaders and defending champions Ahly.
