Diplomatic sources said on Friday that Algeria would host the upcoming meeting of Libyan neighbors scheduled for next May.
Algeria is expected to host the eleventh edition of the Libyan Neighborhood Mechanism next May as part of efforts to support a political solution through Libyan-Libyan dialogue، Algerian official news agency reported.
Algeria host the first Libyan neighbors meeting in May 2014 on the sidelines of the ministerial meetings of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Algerian officials stressed "the need to adopt a political solution that guarantees the constants of preserving the unity and sovereignty of Libya and the cohesion and harmony of its people as well as the need to combat terrorism”.
They described terrorism as a “real threat to the entity and future of this country، calling for Libyans to put Libya's supreme interest above all considerations”.
