Archeologists unearth burial chamber in pyramid from 13th dynasty in Sakkara

An Egyptian archeological mission of the Ministry of Antiquities led by Adel Oukasha، Director of Dahshour Antiquities، succeeded in unearthing the royal burial chamber in a pyramid dates to the 13 dynasty.

The mission spotted that pyramid last month. It locates 600 m away from another pyramid linked to King Emin Ka Mau from the 13th dynasty in Ancient Egypt.

Oukasha made clear that members of the mission removed slabs’ stone that coated the chamber، where they found Canopic urns of deceased along with funerary box inscribed with Hieroglyphic spells to protect the deceased in the other world، according to the faith of the Ancient Egyptians. 

Dr. Sherif Abdel Moneim، Aide of the Minister of Annuities the burial chamber likely related to the daughter of King Eimin Ka Mau.
