Egypt's Minister of Justice، Hossam Abdel Rahim met this morning with the currently visiting Iraqi delegation، headed by Iraqi Minister of Justice Haider Zamili. The meeting was attended by the Iraqi ambassador to Cairo, Habib al-Sadr.
The meeting discussed means of cooperation between Egypt and Iraq in the legal and judicial fields as well as for ways to boost these ties to serve the interest of the both states.
Abdel Rahim welcomed the delegation by giving a speech praising the historical ties between the two brotherly countries that dates back to 1931 and exist in all fields.
Al-Zamili pointed to the importance of correcting some aspects of judicial cooperation between the two countries، stressing on the importance of the cooperation between the two countries.
Assistant to the minister of justice for parliamentary and media affairs، Khaled al-Nashar announced that the two sides agreed to prepare a memorandum of understanding on extradition.
The two sides also agreed to exchange expertise in the legal and judicial fields، as well as to organize visits of judges and advisers to the judicial institutions in both countries.
