West Brom are close to finalising an £850،000 loan deal for Egypt international defender Ahmed Hegazy. DailyMail reported
The 26-year-old from Al Ahly is due in England on Saturday for talks over a season long loan and a medical with view to making the deal a permanent £3.5m transfer.
Hegazy، who is 6ft 5ins tall، had a spell in Italy with Fiorentina and Perugia and impressed for his country in the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year when he was named in the team of the tournament.
The Baggies had been discussing a loan for Chelsea's Kurt Zouma but were put off by the cost of the deal، believed to be £8m in total.
Albion remain keen on signing Gareth Barry from Everton too though the 36-year-old will be looking for a two-year contract if Ronald Koeman allows him to leave.
Tony Pulis is looking to bolster his options ahead of the new Premier League season following last campaign's 10th-placed finish. edited by amrmamdouh
