Egypt witnessed price hikes taking over the auto market recently, pushing down sales volumes, which led Egyptians to buy Chinese-made cars because the Chinese car manufacturers sell their cars at lower prices as compared to their rivals in the market.
Here are some of the most sold cars in the Egyptian auto market: Nissan sunny, Optra, BYD, Lada, and Geely emgrand.
Sada El-Balad interviewed the sales director at one of the car showrooms in El Mohandseen, Egypt. He said that ‘BYD’ costs around 155,000 EGP. BYD l3 automatic costs around 187,000 EGP. Geely emgrand costs 156,000 EGP. Hyundai Verna costs 156,000 EGP as well. Chery Envy’s price is 138,000 EGP; the Tiggo is higher due to its features, it costs around 223,000 EGP.
As for Hyundai, let’s start with the Elantra HD 2018 costs 232,000 EGP, while the 2017 version costs 226,000 EGP. Elantra AD will cost you more than quarter a million 300,000 EGP, while Hyundai Tucson costs 400,000 EGP.
Kia is one of the most sold cars in Egypt; its Cerato costs 300,000 EGP. As for the Picanto, now you can get one with almost quarter a million 220.000 EGP.
Mitsubishi lancer costs 265,000 EGP. If you have got around a million pound and wants a car, there is the BMW X3, which costs one million and 50 thousand pounds. Worth to mention, the all-luxurious Mercedes prices start at 900,000 EGP.
