Advisor to Minister of Transport، Amr Shaath، said reforming railways facility in Egypt is not related to change of leadership، the problem is that railways facility has not been developed for many years
He added in a phone call with "Kalam Tany" Programm on Dream channel، that many trains and tractors were not serviced because of the lack of financial resources، pointing out that the ministry of Transport has requested to allocate LE 10 billion in the new budget to develop railway system، but only 3 billion pounds were approved due to economic conditions of the state.
Shaath stressed that many trains are not suitable for use، and not even at a rate of at least 5% of their maximum performance.
