The foreign ministers of Egypt، Jordan and Palestine called for an end to the years-long stalemate of the Middle East peace process.
In a joint press statement after their meeting in Cairo، they cautioned that the world's failure to find a fair solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is one of main causes of regional instability. They underlined the need for resuming Middle East peace talks to avoid negative repercussions of the current situation.
They also urged the international community to double its efforts to create a congenial atmosphere to bring all concerned parties back to the negotiating table.
They stressed that Israel must refrain from all unilateral actions in occupied Jerusalem and actions aimed at changing the current status quo in the city. - KUNA
