Egyptian Manpower Minister، Moahmed Saafan reiterated his assertion that the state will not tolerate those who harm the Egyptian economy and suspend the production wheel.
Safaan said in televised remarks to “Sada ElBalad” channel commenting on Egyptian Writer and Journalist، Elham Abul Fateh’s artclie entitled “The Strike of Al-Dekhelia Workers is a lesson for Al-Mahala ones” that the losses of Al-Mahala Workers’ strike exceeded LE 40 million.
He added that the reason behind the suspension of factories from 2011 till now is the submission to unwarranted factional demands، which are not suitable for the current stage.
Moreover، Safaan pointed out that strike policy will not work with the state، as it is shaking the economy and national output.
He also stressed that there are legitimate channels must be followed by workers، including; Trade unions، Corporate board of directors، and factories، noting that the state does not oppose workers’ demands، but they must not be at the expense of work and production.
In her article, Elham Abul Fateh said “There
is a big difference between the strike of Al Dekheila workers and the strike of
Al Mahalla Al Kobra ones.. years ago، the workers of Al-Dekheila iron factories
held a strike but they gave an example for how the worker loves his factory، preserves
his production and his factory، which is considered as his home”.
She added “What did the workers of Al Dekheila do to reach their demands.. they used to work their full shift and hold strike after their shift ends, at this time the following shift starts and when it ends they hold strike”.
