Nearly 63،000 Egyptian pilgrims had headed to Saudi Arabia to perform hajj.

Death toll has rose during "Tashreeq days" was because of exertion، hardship and old age، Head of the Hajj Medical Mission، Dr. Ahmad Al-Ansari revealed in previous remarks.

Al Tashreeq days occurs at the 11th، 12th and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. The days of Tashreeq are the days following the Eid day، according to muslim matters.

These days are considered days of celebration and worship. It is not recommended for the pilgrims to fast on these days، rather they should enjoy the celebration of the Eid by feasting، eating and drinking.

This year’s annual Hajj pilgrimage began on August 30 and concluded on September 4.

Last year، 43 Egyptian pilgrims died from heat exhaustion، fatigue and other natural causes.

Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca، the most holy city for Muslims، and a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by all adult Muslims who are physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey.
