Chief of Staff، Japanese defense Min. discuss latest developments

Egypt’s Chief of Staff، Mahmoud Hegazy received earlier today، Thursday، Japanese Defense Minister، Tomomi Inada and his accompanied delegation.

During the meeting، they discussed ways to boost bilateral military cooperation between the two countries.

Moreover، they reviewed latest regional and international developments.

Hegazy praised the historic relationships between both countries، expressing Egypt’s keenness to expend horizons of Partnership and cooperation with Japan in the military and technical fields.

A number of Armed forces leaders and Japanese Ambassador in Egypt attended the meeting.

Noteworthy، Japan considers Egypt a key player in the Middle East and، as such، sees Egypt as a vital part of its diplomacy in the region.

The two heads of government have been known to support each other on issues pertaining to the peace process in the Middle East.

The two countries maintain a "Joint Committee" dedicated to exploring developments in areas of mutual interest to the two countries.
