Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his appreciation for Egypt's important role in the Middle East and its efforts in fighting terrorism and maintaining stability and peace in the region.
This came during his meeting with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to discuss ways to revive the peace process.
Sisi expressed his willingness “to assist efforts to achieve peace between Israel and the Palestinians and the region.”
Egypt has become increasingly involved in efforts to stabilize the situation in Gaza and bring about a Fatah-Hamas reconciliation that would lead to a reassertion of the Palestinian Authority in Gaza Strip.
President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi arrived، Sunday in New York to participate in the 72nd session of UN General Assembly.
It is scheduled that President Sisi will give a speech before UN General assembly to present Egypt’s vision on the ongoing global issues and mechanisms to boost peace and stability in the world، in addition to the Egyptian stances towards regional issues in the Middle East and efforts to combat terrorism.
Moreover، President Sisi will meet U.S. President Donald Trump، in addition to key political، congressional and economic figures in the American administration.
