Extra News satellite channel broadcasted a video on Saturday features the search-and-rescue work after a devastating earthquake struck Mexico City and surrounding areas on Tuesday.
The toll from the powerful magnitude-7.1 earthquake that rocked Mexico earlier this week has risen to 292. Rescue crews from around the world، including the U.S.، started arriving Thursday to help with the search and rescue effort. Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto says there are still at least 10 damaged buildings where there may be survivors. He stressed that rescue work will continue as long as there’s hope of anyone still trapped and alive. Security guard Felix Giral Barron said that after the quake started، he had time to run and tell people to evacuate his building. Then an entire apartment building across the street crumbled and a big tank of heating gas on its slid off، but didn't explode.
