5.8 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Mexico Coast

An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 struck Mexico coast on Saturday. No report of any casualty has come forward. As per reports، the epicentre of the earthquake was 48 km away from San Luqueño. More details awaited، India.com reported.
On Tuesday، Mexico city was hit by a powerful earthquake of 7.1-magnitude that killed close to 300 people and left thousands homeless. Many tourists were killed in the quake and officials today recovered bodies of eight foreigners that includes citizens of Taiwan، Korea، Spain and Argentina. The officials، however، did not disclose from where the bodies were recovered.
Many buildings had toppled in Mexico city- the capital of Mexico. The buildings that collapsed were mostly constructed aeons ago. The court statement said the bodies of the foreigners were pulled “from the rubble caused by the earthquake on Tuesday. It also said that no more bodies had been delivered to the morgue operated by the forensic institute for identification since Thursday.
All but one of the 65 corpses examined by the service have been handed over to next of kin، it said.
The remaining unidentified body was that of a woman pulled from a collapsed building in the chic neighbourhood of Condesa.
Many people have volunteered to help the ones in need. More than victims there are volunteers as everyone wants to lend a helping hand and many of them are using motorcycles or other modes of transport to reach isolated areas where the authorities haven’t been able to reach. Many donating sites were installed to make sure people get an adequate supply of food، water and medicines.
