Artists' Reactions to Egypt's national Football Team qualification for World Cup 2018

A lot of Egyptian and Arab artists expressed their views on social media sites regarding the Egyptian football team after winning 2-1 over Congo in the home game that took place yesterday in Burj Al-Arab stadium، as part of the qualifying matches for the 2018 football world cup.

Egyptian Comedian actor، Mohamed Henedy tweeted: “Egypt-Congo game was hard and full of Drama”، he continued “our national team will catch eyes in World Cup 2018 in Russia”.

Actress، Dalia Al-Beheiry Commented saying;” Congratulations Egypt، We deserve to be happy”.

Actor Tareq Lotfy congratulated Egyptian people and President، Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi، Saying” it is a real historic achievement”.

Moreover، Actress Menna Shalaby commented saying “Thanks our national Football team…We are coming Russia”.

On the other hand، a lot of Arab artists congratulated Egypt national team for Qualifying for World Cup 2018 in Russia، including Lebanese Actress and Singer، Haifa Wehbe who tweeted; “ Congratulations Egypt”.

Lebanese Singer، Nancy Ajram commented saying “Egypt’s National team qualification for World Cup 2018 is a pride to the whole Arab world“.

Noteworthy، On Sunday match Egypt won 2-1 over Congo. Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah scored the opener in the match’s 62 minute، he received the high ball، passing by speed and put Congolese defender in his back، in a preferable one-v-one situation، Salah eased the ball over the goalkeeper to the net.

Egypt was hit by an equalizer in the 82nd minute as Congo's Arnold Bouka dampened spirits in Alexandria.

In a dramatic turn of events، Egypt were awarded a penalty after 2 minutes of the 5-minute stoppage time، Salah again rise to shine to become the hero and secure Egypt’s ticket in 2018 World Cup، even before playing Ghana away.

Following the victory، Egypt is now four points ahead of second-placed Uganda in African qualifying Group E with just one match remaining.
