Archeologists uncover new artifacts in Matareya

The joint Egyptian-German archeologist commission has uncovered a pact of new artifacts at Matareya District، north to Cairo.
The fresh findings include shreds of King Wahibre Psamtik I ( known by the Greeks as Psammeticus or Psammetichus who ruled 664–610 BC.
This king was the founder of the 26th dynasty in Ancient Egypt.
He has more respect as the ruler who freed Egypt from the Assyrians and expelled them to their home in Mesopotamia over the 7th century B.c. 
The Ministry of Antiquities announced today، Monday، that the joint archeological Egyptian-German commission digging in Matareya succeeding also in uncovering remains of a statue of King Ramses II.
The archeologists found also magical texts and spells which were used in treating patients about 30 centuries earlier.
