The head of the parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee، Mohamed Al-Orabi said that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to Cairo Next month is a very important step، as it will raise optimism regarding the resumption of Russian direct flights to Egypt.
It is expected that both presidents will discuss a number of important regional issues including the situation in Libya and Syria، Orabi added.
Noteworthy، Al-Sisi invited Putin to attend the signing ceremony of a nclear power plant in Egypt، which will be held next November.
This came during a meeting between both leaders on the sidelines of BRICS summit in China.
During their meeting، Al-Sisi confirmed that Egypt had fulfilled all required procedures for the construction of a nuclear power plant with Moscow’s help.
In 2015، Egypt signed an agreement with Russia to build a four-reactor power plant with a capacity of 4،800 MW. The nuclear plant will be built in Dabaa، about 130 kilometers(80 Miles) northwest of Cairo on the Mediterranean coast.
