Actor Hussein Fahmy comments on the lies of "Al Jazeera" Qatari channel

Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmy issued a press statement on Monday to respond to what he described as the lies of "Al Jazeera" Qatari channel، which claimed that the actor supported the ousted President Mohamed Morsi.

Qatar's Al-Jazeera channel has always used to exploit the method of distorting facts and positions to serve suspicious agendas Since the Egyptian people held June 30 revolution which toppled the regime of backwardness and dark ages، the statement said. This revolution also dropped the Qatari project aiming to overthrow the Egyptian state، by enabling the Qatari tools represented in the terrorist organization to take office، the statement noted.

Actor Hussein Fahmy’s statement added:” Immediately after Actor Hussein Fahmy signed “in order to build it” petition which calls on president Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi to run for a second term. It seems that this step raised the anger of Qatar and its tools.Al-Jazeera launched a distortion campaign on those who signed the petition، such as actor Hussein Fahmy، as the presenter of the Qatari channel broadcasted baseless statements about Fahmy، claiming that the actor supports Morsi through a meeting between the ousted president and a group of artists and intellectuals in Al Etehadiya Palace، in 2012 ".

The statement revealed that The meeting was held upon an invitation from the Presidency of the Republic، after the vicious attack by the adopters of the dark and radical thought against some Egyptian artists”.

Hussein Fahmy concluded the statement saying to Al Jazeera channel:” the Egyptian people have revealed your lies and dropped your destructive project، we will not return back to this dark age، and the campaign of "in order to build it" is successfully continuing in its path، and Egypt is built by its loyal sons under the leadership of President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi”.
