Pope Tawadros:Terrorists will not achieve their objectives in Egypt

Pope Tawadros II، Pope of Alexandria، condemned terrorism in all its forms. He said that the recent acts of terrorism in Egypt، which targeted the unity of homeland، have not and will not achieve their goals، pointing out that history proves that Egypt will never be divided.

The Pope، in his first interview after his medical examinations in Germany، with the Middle East News Agency in Berlin، assured the Egyptians on his health.

"I was suffering from back pain and after tests in Germany I was advised by doctors not to exert any efforts at the moment،.

On the attempts of some to undermine the unity of the homeland by destabilizing the country by igniting sectarian file inside Egypt، he said: "Egypt has one Nile، one people، and all what these terrorists are doing to stir violence and terrorism inside Egypt aims to influence that national unity.

The Pope advised young people not to be drawn to unreliable sources، to read history well، to judge their minds well، and not to be drawn into any direction aimed at destabilizing the country.

Regarding, pope Francis blessing to the holy family path in Egypt, pope Tawadros stressed that this will put Egypt on the religious tourism map.

The interview of Pope Tawadros II came on the sidelines of a dinner hosted by Egyptian Ambassador Bader Abdel Aati last night on the sidelines of the pastoral visit to Germany.

The ceremony was held at the Egyptian Embassy in Berlin. It was attended by a large number of priests. President Eng. Hani Azar، Eng. Ibrahim Samak and engineer Victor Rizkallah، a professor of civil engineering in Germany.
