Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said that the official talks with his Portuguese counterpart، Augusto Silva dealt with the bilateral relations between the two countries in political، economic and social fields، describing them as historic and deep.
Shoukry added in his word during joint press conference with Silva that the Egyptian Portuguese business forum was launched today، as the delegations both countries exerted great efforts to develop ways of supporting bilateral relations and finding legal means to further strengthen the relationship.
He pointed out that the air services agreement and memorandums of understanding in the field of archiving، tourism and youth and sports، have been signed between the two countries.
Shoukry announced that the country is looking forward to further strengthening the relationship between Portugal and institutions in the field of administrative reform.
He also stressed that Portugal is a supporter of the two-state solution to end the conflict.
Shoukry pointed out that they discussed the Egyptian-European relationship and the necessity of continuing the joint work between Egypt and its European partners in order to expand the common understanding.
