A total 188 tourists، including 22 representatives of travel and tourism agencies، arrived at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport coming from Pakistan on Sunday.
Head of the tourism promotion authority in South Sinai Islam Nabil said in a statement on Sunday that the flights will start from Uzbekistan to Sharm El-Sheikh airport in the coming period، pointing out that the second flight will arrive on October 30.
Islam expected an increase in the number of flights from Uzbekistan as a new tourist market for both sides.
He explained that new markets will be opened to many countries so that there are no restrictions in certain markets such as the Russian market and English، which was dependent on tourism in some Egyptian tourist cities.
He said that the authority has tended towards tourists form East Asian countries، Arab countries، Mediterranean countries and Ukraine، adding that this strategy started to pay off with an increase numbers of tourists coming to Sharm El-Sheikh from Kazakhstan، Azerbaijan، Italy، Georgia، Pakistan، Germany، the Netherlands and Belgium.
