National Festival for Egyptian Cinema 21 session will conclude Thursday evening، at Grand Theater of the Cairo Opera House.
The session kicked off from 18 to 26 October، under the theme "Cinema: tomorrow's ray".
The evening will witness the honoring of four public figures، including legendary actress Lobna Abdel Aziz، Egyptian film director، Khairy Beshara، photographer Mohsen Ahmed، and monetarist Laila Fahmy.
The evening will also feature the announcement of the competition winners of short films، documentary films، and animated films، which includes the competition of 15 minutes and longer documentary films، and 11 short documentary films، 51 short films and 9 animated films.
The winning 15 minutes and longer documentary films will be awarded one million pounds، while the winning 15 long documentary films، short films، and animated films will be awarded 184 thousand pounds.
It is scheduled for the filmmakers of the competing films to attend the event.
This session was marked by the screening of the films in the governorates of Cairo، Alexandria، Minya، Luxor، Sohag، Arish، Mansoura، which will be followed by seminars with a number of critics.
This move aimed to expand the festival and present feature and documentary films in the governorates.
Noteworthy، Lobna Abdel Aziz is an Egyptian actress. She graduated from The American University and acted on its stage، she was known as University Girl.
She also presented a radio European program for children called: "Mama Lulu". Salah Abou Seif assigned her to present the radio series "Al Wesada Al Khalya".
She got the scholarship of "Fulbright "and studied drama at the University of Washington.
Moreover، she married Ramsis Naguib and after divorce، she married Dr. Ismaiel Barada whom she traveled with to the United States، they have two daughters.
Her husband died after more than 40 years of their marriage. loubna said that her life has stopped after the death of her husband.
There she used to write to El Ahram newspaper and she got her PhD. In 1988 she returned to Egypt and presented her old program that won the Radio Festival Award in episodes of "St. in front of Roger Moore."
She starred in more than a dozen films، TV series، radio programs and plays، but she is known for her roles in films “Geddo Habiby”،“Adham el Sharkawy”، “A'roos El Nil”،”Ah men Hawaa”، “Resala men maghula”،“Haza howa el hob”،”gharam el asyad”، “Ana Horra”، “El Wesada Elkhalya” and others.
