President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said the armed forces assume the responsibility of carrying out the projects related to the Egyptian citizen’s daily lives to meet their needs at reasonable prices. He added that the armed forces represent the state in establishing development projects. During the inauguration of the first stage of the of the middle east largest fish farm، located in the country’s Kafr El-Sheikh governorate، Al Sisi said that several projects in the governorate، with a total cost of EGP 4 billion، would be announced soon. The fish farm، located on state-owned lands in Berkat Ghalioun in Kafr El-Sheikh، heads up the new project carried out by the armed forces. The president is set to inaugurate the project’s first stage with an area of 4،000 feddans and capable of producing 2،000 tons of shrimp، 3،000 tons of saltwater fish، and 1،600 tons of rainwater fish per cycle. Upon completion، the project is expected to cover 70 percent of Egyptian produce of fish، a key goal in covering local consumption and exporting abroad. The project also includes industrial and housing areas، in a space of 55 feddans. Several roads have been constructed، with a distance of 11 kilometres and a cost of EGP 112 million، for ease in reaching the project’s destinations.
