Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi، arrived on Saturday in Cairo from Kuwait, heading a delegation to participate in the urgent meeting of the Arab foreign ministers scheduled for Sunday to discuss Iran's intervention in Arab countries.
Ambassador Saif bin Muqaddam Al-Buainain، Permanent Representative of Qatar to the Arab League، received the Qatari Foreign Minister at the VIP lounge.
Well-Informed sources that participated in reception of the Qatari minister، said that the urgent meeting of the Arab foreign ministers will be held upon a request of Saudi Arabia with a view to discussing the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of the Arab countries.
It is worth mentioning that Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi، Qatari foreign minister، dubbed Iran as a "honorable country" in the last meeting of the Arab foreign ministers held last September.
Saudia Arabia has called for an urgent meeting of Arab League foreign ministers in Cairo next week to discuss Iran's intervention in the region، an official league source told Egypt's MENA state news agency on Sunday.
The call came after the resignation of Lebanon's prime minister pushed Beirut back into the centre of a rivalry between Sunni kingdom Saudi Arabia and Shi'ite Iran and heightened regional tensions
