Former Assistant Foreign Minister، Ambassador Mohamed Abdel Hakam said that the visit of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to Cyprus marks the culmination of historic distinguished relations between Egypt and Cyprus. Abdel Hakam pointed out that Al-Sisi’s visit affirmed the importance that Egypt attaches to the neighboring countries، especially Cyprus and Greece. Abdul Hakam stressed that the project of electric connection between Egypt and Europe، will increase the European investment in Egypt. He pointed out that Europe is moving now to activate the renewable energy in all fields. During interview in “8 El Sobh” program on DMC satellite channel، today، Abdul Hakam added that Cyprus is an active member in the European Union. He pointed out that Cyprus adopts and defends Egypt’s visions in the meetings of the European Union. Abdul Hakam added that Cyprus is a friendly country and one of the first countries that supported June 30 revolution in Egypt. He affirmed that Egypt can benefit from the investments of Cyprus and Greece، because the businessmen are always looking for the appropriate place to maximize the benefits of their investments.
