MOUs to be signed with Cyprus and Greece: presidency

Ambassador Bassam Rady، spokesman for the presidency، said that the visit of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to Cyprus and Greece is important، as Egypt has strong and good relations with these two countries and these relations were enhanced after the revolution of 30 June، when the two countries had a supportive attitude towards Egypt، Rady added.

The fifth summit will be held between Egypt، Cyprus and Greece on Tuesday، in addition to the opening of the Egyptian-Cypriot Business Forum، the spokesman noted in a statement to Haza El Sabah program broadcasted on Extra News satellite channel، pointing out that a number of memorandums of understanding with Cyprus will be signed in the fields of education، justice، communications and maritime transport.
President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi pays a visit to the Cypriot capital of Nicosia on Monday in an official two-day visit، during which he will participate in the Tripartite summit between Egypt، Cyprus and Greece.

Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radhi said that the president is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiadis and senior Cypriot officials to discuss means of enhancing bilateral relations at all levels.

The talks come in the framework of close relations between Egypt and Cyprus and the distinguished joint cooperation for intensive consultation on issues of common concern.


In recent months، meeting between officials of the three countries have taken place in preparation for November summit، the latest was a meeting between the three ministers in September on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
