Terrorism File will top the agenda of the tripartite meeting between Egypt، Cyprus، and Greece in Nicosia، pointing out that the recent developments in the region and the declination of ISIS terrorist organization contribute to the transfer of terrorists to other new areas، Presidency spokesman، Ambassador، Bassam Rady said.
In televised remarks to “Extra News” TV Channel، Bassam added “Cyprus and Nicosia are among the countries that Egypt deals with in the fight against terrorism through the exchange of information، not on the level of operations”.
He underlined that Egypt since September 2016 until today has not recorded a case of infiltration or illegal migration from the Egyptian coasts to Europe، a matter which is highly respected from the European side as Egypt succeeded in controlling its beaches and coasts. Noteworthy، Egypt President، Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi has arrived، a short while ago، in Cypriot Capital of Niscosia in an official two-day visit، during which he will participate in the tripartite summit between Egypt، Cyprus، and Greece.
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radhi said that the president is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiadis and senior Cypriot officials to discuss means of enhancing bilateral relations at all levels.
The talks come in the framework of close relations between Egypt and Cyprus and the distinguished joint cooperation for intensive consultation on issues of common concern.
In recent months، meeting between officials of the three countries have taken place in preparation for November summit، the latest was a meeting between the three ministers in September on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
