The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS)، announced that the total value of Egypt’s exports to the African countries amounted to $1253.1 million، in 2016، representing 5.6% of the total Egyptian exports reaching $22501.7 million.
Four African countries represented about 54.9% of Egypt's total exports to the African countries، including Kenya، South Africa، Ethiopia and Nigeria، the CAPMAS added.
According to the CAPMAS’s report، Egypt’s exports to Kenya estimated at $ 264.4 million accounting for 21.1% of the total exports to African countries.
While Egypt’s exports to South Africa valued at $ 226.3 million accounting for 18.0% of the total exports to African countries.
The Ethiopian imports from Egypt valued at $ 106.2 million accounting for 8.5% of the total Egyptian exports to African countries.
Nigeria ranked fourth، as Egypt exports to Nigeria hit $ 90.6 million accounting for 7.3% of the total exports to African countries.
Egypt's total imports from Africa valued at $ 1،042.9 million constituting 1.5% of total national imports، which amounted to about $ 71،356.6 million.
