Egypt’s iconic singer and actress Shadia funeral prayer were held Wednesday after Zuhr prayer، at Al-Sayeda Nafeesah Mosque.
The legendary singer and actress coffin arrived at the mosque covered with the Egyptian flag.
The funeral was attended by a large crowd، who were keen to farewell the legend، including، Samir Sabri، Bushra، Farouk Al-Fishawy، Elham Shahin، Yousra، Hany Mehanna، Sherine، Dalal Abdel Aziz، TV host Poussy Chalabi، Lebleba، Yasmin El Khayam، Ragaa Al-Giddawy، and Nihal Anber.
During the funeral، Bushra، Dalal Abdel Aziz، Ragaa Al-Giddawy، and Nihal Anber had broken down and burst into tears، mourning the departure of Shadia.
Meanwhile، her body had shortly left the mosque on its way to be buried in the family graves in El Basateen district.
Egypt’s iconic singer and actress Shadia has died at the age of 86 after a struggle with disease. She was admitted to Jalala military hospital earlier this month after suffering brain stroke.
Rumors of her health deterioration began to spread in August.
Meanwhile، Shadia’s family will hold on Friday the consolation marquee at Al-Moushir Tantawi mosque، in the fifth district.
Noteworthy، Fatima Ahmad Kamal، better known by her stage name Shadia، is an Egyptian actress and singer. Shadia was born on the 8th of February 1931، according to el cinema.
She was introduced to the world of cinema through an advertisement that her dad read about made by late director Ahmed Badrakhaan، in 1947 looking for new stars. She entered that contest at the age of 16 and was adopted by director Badrakhaan who changed her name to Shadia.
Legendary Shadia acted in 150 films and recorded 500 songs during her long successful career in the film industry. She sang many patriotic songs that are still remembered by Egyptians all over the world.
