Heavy rains hit Egypt governorates

Rainfall and severe wind، in addition to a wave of cold and unstable weather، were witnessed on Wednesday in a number of governorates including، Northern coast، Mersa Matruh، Sinai and Dakahlia.

The bad weather conditions have halted the maritime movement and decreased the number of the traveling citizens to other governorates.

Most of the citizens preferred not to go out to the streets and stay in their homes.

Northern coast and Mersa Matruh
The northern coastal and Mersa Matruh governorate has been under heavy rains and strong winds since Wednesday morning، in addition to a wave of cold and unstable weather.

The bad weather conditions have made a decline in the number of people on the streets as the rain continues.

The rain has also halted the maritime movement and decreased the number of the traveling citizens to other governorates.

Sinai
North Sinai cities witnessed heavy winds and rains in most areas of Sinai on Wednesday.

The main and secondary roads witnessed caution from the drivers، the markets were deserted by passers-by، and the electricity was cut off.

Most of the citizens preferred not to go out to the streets and stay in their homes.

North Sinai's governor، Major General Abdel Fatah Harhoor، increased the alert in all the facilities of the governorate and directorates of services to meet the weather conditions in the governorate.

Dakahlia
Dakahlia governorate was hit by heavy rainfall accompanied by severe winds since Wednesday dawn، in a number of its villages.

A number of areas have also experienced traffic congestion due to rainfall.

The bad weather conditions led many owners to close their shops due to the intensity of the wind and rain.

The fishermen had also halted their fishing for the fear of any consequences due to the unstable weather.
