Egypt’s Chief of Staff، Gen. Mohamed Farid Hegazy met earlier today، Thursday his Emirati Counterpart، and his accompanied delegation.
During the meeting، they discussed a number of important regional and international issues of common interests and ways to boost military cooperation between the two countries.
Moreover، they reviewed the international efforts exerted to face terrorism، and to enhance security and stability in the Middle East region.
A number of military leaders attended the meeting.
Noteworthy، President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi issued a decree appointing Mohamed Farid Hegazy as the new chief of staff of the armed forces، succeeding Lieutenant General Mahmoud Hegazy. Sisi also promoted outgoing Mahmoud Hegazy to the position of presidential advisor for strategic planning and crisis management.
