Sabah el Balad program aired on "Sada El-Balad" satellite channel، broadcasted a report on the weather prediction on Thursday.

Head of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA)، Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aal predicted that cold weather to prevail on most parts of the country، with the probability of rainfall on the northern coasts، Nile Delta and Cairo.

Meanwhile، light fog hit the country in the early hours of the morning on most highways but did not affect the traffic.

He warned that thick mist، which could reach to fog، will hit the country starting from Saturday، and will last for three days.

The Maximum temperature predicted for Cairo is 18 C.

Meteorologists always warn against going out during afternoon hours as well as to stay away from hot winds. They said that picnicking during peak hours could result in serious health risks.

Cold water is “very important” during this hot weather to balance body temperature and get rid of health damage caused by exposure to soaring temperature.

Noteworthy، with the small exception of its strip of Mediterranean coastline، the whole of Egypt has an arid desert climate، according to weather and climate website.

Throughout Egypt، days are commonly warm or hot، and nights are cool.

Egypt has only two seasons: a mild winter from November to April and a hot summer from May to October.

Egypt receives fewer than eighty millimeters of precipitation annually in most areas.

Most rain falls along the coast، but even the wettest area (around Alexandria)، receives only about 200 millimeters of precipitation per year.

The best time to travel to Egypt is during the winter، between December and February، when temperatures range between 20 to 26 degrees Celsius (68 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit).
