Sisi: Developing roads network ‘crucial' for Africa development’

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Thursday the importance of developing road networks in order to bring real development to Africa.
The remark came during his participation in the opening session of the second Africa Business Forum، held currently in Egypt’s Red Sea resort city of Sherm El Sheikh.
He added that the development will only take place if the African countries were connected connect، adding that the continent will positively change thanks to the huge investments.
The opening session of the Forum، under the theme "African Day for Young Entrepreneurs 2017" will be held under the patronage of President Sisi and will last for three days.
Sharm El-Sheikh streets were decorated to welcome foreign and African guests participating in the event.
This year’s forum، expected to attract about seven African Heads of State، along with dozens of top CEOs and delegates from across Africa، seeks to build on the success of the inaugural Africa 2016، according to organisers.
Running under the theme، ‘Driving Investment for Inclusive Growth’، This business and investment forum is and has been convened to increase intra-African investments and cross-border collaboration، according to a statement from organisers.
In 2015، Egypt hosted the signing of a tripartite agreement between three of Africa’s leading regional economic communities Southern African Development Community (SADC)، the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and the East African Community (EAC) to facilitate free movement of people، goods and services across the region، and the forum is billed as an ideal platform to advance this cause.
