A Parliamentary delegation returned in Cairo this morning after a three-day visit to Strasbourg City، France، during which the delegation met with senior officials of the European Parliament to discuss boosting cooperation and latest developments.
The delegation، which included the heads of the foreign affairs، planning and tourism Parliamentary Committees and a number of Parliament members، held a series of meetings with senior officials of the European Parliament، including the First Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the European Parliament.
During their meetings، the Egyptian delegation discussed bilateral relations and issues of common concern. They also reviewed the latest developments in Egypt and the Arab Region، stressing their rejection to Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. They also stressed the need to address the Palestinian case and reach a two-state solution.
The Egyptian delegation also reviewed a number of issues، including Egypt's efforts in combating terrorism، extremism and illegal immigration، in addition to the status of women and youth in society in light of the democratic transition.
On the other hand، The European Parliament stressed the necessity of ongoing dialogue and communication in the framework of strengthening relations between Egypt and the European Parliament.
