Egypt's Minister of Defense Sedki Sobhy held talks with French counterpart Florence Parly on Saturday، during which they discussed cooperation and mutual ties between the two sides.
An official receiving ceremony was held for the visiting French official at the headquarters of Defence Ministry in Cairo.
The talks addressed issues of common concern in the light of the new developments in the Middle East.
The meeting also touched on military cooperation between the two countries joint manufacturing، exchange of expertise and training.
Earlier in the day، Parly held meeting with President Sisi during which Sisi praised the ongoing cooperation between the two countries in the military field، according to Egyptian presidency spokesman Bassam Rady.
Egypt has made several purchases of French military hardware in recent years، the most recent of which was a Gowind 2500 Corvette naval vessel، which arrived in Alexandria in October.
