CAF announces today final shortlist for African player award 2017

Confederation of the African Football (CAF) will announce today the final shortlist of nominates for African player award 2017 at 12pm Cairo local time.

The final list will include three nominates.

Egyptian international and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah wish he could win the title.

Noteworthy، Salah has been crowned Premier League player of the month for November after scoring seven goals in four matches.

He has scored 20 goals in all competitions for Liverpool this season، his first at Anfield following his £39million summer transfer from Roma.

He also has been voted BBC African Footballer of the Year for 2017.

CAF had announced 11 players that will be shortlisted later to three nominate، as follows:

1. Bertrand Traore (Burkina Faso & Olympique Lyon)
2. Denis Onyango (Uganda & Mamelodi Sundowns)
3. Karim El Ahmadi (Morocco & Feyenoord)
4. Keita Balde (Senegal & Monaco)
5. Mohamed Salah (Egypt & Liverpool)
6. Naby Keita (Guinea & RB Leipzig)
7. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon & B. Dortmund)
8. Sadio Mane (Senegal & Liverpool)
9. Victor Moses (Nigeria & Chelsea)
10. Vincent Aboubakar (Cameroon & Porto)
11. Yacine Brahimi (Algeria & Porto)

It is worthy to mention that، referee Gihad Greisha is also listed for the best referee in Africa.

Gresha was chosen by the Referee Committee at the Federation International of Football Association (FIFA) to direct the final matches of the next version of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
