Tourism Minister Yahya Rashed confirmed that tourism sector has succeeded in overcoming crises and problems hindering its growth required to restore the Egyptian tourism to its natural rates and its vital role in supporting the Egyptian economy as one of the most important sources of income and foreign currencies. In an exclusive interview with the Middle East News Agency (MENA)، Rashed predicted that 2018 would be a new start for the Egyptian tourism to restore its real position in the world tourism market.
He said، “Adopting the path of the Holy Family and the imminent return of Russian tourism، in addition to the countries that have lifted its flight ban to Egypt، all these factors، would surely result in achieving the expected renaissance in the tourism sector”.
“The Holy Family’s pilgrimage journey in Egypt is a unique experience offered by Egypt as a gift to the world as one of the most important historical journeys in the world، which is expected to attract a high turnout of tourists”، he added. He praises the high levels of stability currently witnessing by Egypt، which adopts all necessary security measures to secure tourist delegation. He pointed out that the Egyptian government exerts utmost efforts strengthen security measures for tourists.
He said that the return of flights between Egypt and Russia on February 1 will attract large numbers of Russian tourists، which in turn would help to the return of Egyptian tourism to natural rates.
