Egypt’s Auto exports hit $89 mln، CAPMAS

The exports of the automotive sector and its components totaled about $ 89 million during the first nine months of this year، according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The total number of vehicles exported during this period is 739 units، amounting to $ 72 million، and accounting for 80.3% of the sector’s total exports. Automotive component exports are estimated at about $ 18million، the CAPMAS said.
Total exports of cars and components dropped by 54.4% to $ 2،767،778 in September، compared to $ 6،272،985 in August 2017، with the sector exports narrowing down to 17 countries، out of 51 countries.
Automotive component imports totaled $ 165million during the first nine months of 2017.
