Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad al-Malki، met on Thursday، at the ministry’s headquarter، Essam El-Din Abdel-Hamid، newly appointed Egyptian ambassador to Palestine.
According to Palestinian Ma’an News Agency، Al-Maliki welcomed the new Egyptian Ambassador، wishing him success in his new diplomatic missions. Al-Maliky praised historical relationship between the two countries pointing out to the important role played by Egypt and the Arab countries in supporting the Palestinian issue and maintaining the national project.
During the meeting، Egyptian ambassador reviewed the latest political developments in the region and the repercussions on US President’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on Palestine on Arab، Islamic and Christian countries.
For his part، the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants thanked the Egyptian Ambassador for his warm welcome، stressing Egypt's firm stance with Palestine to achieve an independent state in peace and security like other countries in accordance with international legitimacy.
