Egyptian Stock Exchange weekly report showed that the market capital managed to gain EGP 18.6 to end at EGP 847.1 billion over last week's trading sessions، amid a variety of performance in the stock market.
The weekly report stated that the main stock exchange EGX 30 index rose by 3.11% to close the week at 15،242 points، and EGX20 index rose by 1.91% to end at 14،785 points.
Meanwhile، medium stock index EGX 70 rose by 2.24% to end at 851 points، and EGX 100 index rose by 2.34% to end at 2،016 points.
Noteworthy، the Egyptian Exchange is one of the oldest stock markets established in the Middle East، according to Egyptian Exchange.
The Egyptian Exchange traces its origins to 1883 when the Alexandria Stock Exchange was established، followed by the Cairo Stock Exchange in 1903.
Egypt's Stock Exchange comprises of two exchanges، Cairo and Alexandria، both governed by the same board of directors and sharing the same trading، clearing and settlement systems.
