Chairman of the Lawyers’ Syndicate Sameh Ashour، who is nominated to chair the Arab Dispute Settlement Body، said that if he won the elections، he would pay more intention to a number of files، notably drawing up the basic structure of the Arab Dispute Settlement Body and all its institutions.
In statements to Sada El-Balad news website، Ashour said، on the sidelines of the consultative meeting on the Arab Dispute Settlement Body، that the Arab arbitration court would be one of the important branches of the Settlement Body.
He stressed that the Arab Dispute Settlement Body has entered into a competitive framework with other bodies for nine years. He added that this resulted in setting up a coalition of all Arab organizations that accepted to locate the Arab Dispute Settlement Body in Egypt.
Set to be based in Cairo، the body will be the first institution specialized in settling disputes and investments in the Arab World. Regarding the mechanisms that would be adopted by the Settlement Body، Ashour said that we will seek to attract the confidence of the adversaries in order to strengthen our Arab and regional economy.
He added that the Arab Dispute Settlement will be engaged in a state of competitiveness with all the international arbitration centers in France، England and the whole world countries. He stressed that we have a big number of skilled and qualified cadres who are able to successfully win any competitions.
Noteworthy، Mohamed Abul Enein honorary President of Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) and Elham Abu El-Fath، managing director of privately owned TV channels Sada ElBalad، in addition to a number of experts and state officials، including Parliament Speaker Ali Abdul Aal and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr participated yesterday، Wednesday in the consultation meeting to address establishing the Arab dispute settlement body.
