English outfit West Bromwich have reportedly raised their offer for Zamalek and Egyptian national team defender Ali Gabr to £400،00 in what would be a 6-month loan deal، after initial £250،000-deal.

Zamalek has responded to be an open to a permanent or loan move، and a loan fee in the region of £750،000 for the rest of the season.

West Brom are reportedly looking at a second Egypt international with Alan Pardew interested in Ali Gabr.

The 29-year-old is an international team-mate of Ahmed Hegazi، who has proved a big success in his first seas on at The Hawthorns after joining the club last summer.

Gabr، who currently plays in his homeland for Zamalek، is being lined up to replace Jonny Evans if the centre-back leaves the Premier League club this month.

Gabr has been capped by Egypt on 18 occasions and has frequently partnered West Brom's Ahmed Hegazi at the heart of the defence.

He won several trophies during his time at Zamalek - he lifted the Egytian Premier League title in 2015 and has also won the Egypt Cup on two occasions.

Gabr helped Egypt to reach the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017، although they were beaten in the final by Cameroon.

In 2016، Gabr was part of the Zamalek side that got to the final of the African Champions League، where they lost to Mamelodi Sundowns.
