Egypt’s National Electoral Commission، currently chaired by Chancellor Lashin Ibrahim Mohamed، opened its doors today، Saturday for the potential presidential candidates to start submitting their applications.
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi announced on Friday that he will run for a second term in the country's presidential elections that will take place in March.
Sisi made the announcement during “Story Of Homeland” televised conference in Cairo on Friday where he stressed the importance of citizens voting.
There was a strong demand by the citizens and celebrities of the community to sign the petitions of "In order to build it" campaign، which calls on President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi to run for a second term.
Egypt's presidential election is to take place on March 26-28، the National Election Authority said.
